My dad is losing his job

Agere systems(a spinoff of Lucent) recently announced they are closing down 4 plants in my area, 1/3 of their entire workforce...they are cutting my dad's entire department. Originally, his plant was closing, but he was moving to another, now they are totally eliminating all of the positions. Kinda sucks, he's been with them since they were Lucent, AT&T, and some other company before then. The good thing is it isn't shutting down for 9 months, and he will probably get severance for up to a year after that...but it still sucks.

 

That sucks. My dad just got another Job after 6 months of non-emplayment. Goodluck to you and your family with this horrid event.
