Its a 1990 190 w/95000 miles. According to carfax the miles are true and kelly'sblue book said the value was $8125.00. It ran okay, and the engine seemed strong and pulled well. The interior is okay and the body is clean too. It needs a suspension badly, I was in the back seat and it was a rough ride. Anyway he likes it and seems to have already decided to get it. Its just that he is tired of looking around for a car and wants to get one already. Whaddya think? Is it a good deal for $5000.00? thanks

I drive one of those. 190E 2.6.

Not a bad ride...it can waste riced out Civics but won't keep up with a Impreza.

...but it's a Benz. No one is gonna rev you at a light. :)

the e class of that time will last you a long time. those things were built solid. dont worry about the mileage at all i would say. if its a 2.6, you'll have a lot of fun driving it. I would say 5,000 is a nice price for it.

just remember maintenance costs are a lot for mercedes

Yep. I just spent a bundle on the car a few weeks ago.

...and yes, the 2.6 is a lot more fun than the 2.3. I drove my friend's 2.3 and...well, yeah there's a diff. It's relatively fast but the acceleration isn't all that great.

And I get about 450km to a tank or so.
