I've always wanted to post his stuff on here but he's never had anything posted under his stage name before. :)

I loved growing up listening to him play; some of my favorite memories of childhood are of dancing around at his outdoor summer gigs like Russian River Jazz Festival

<3 my dad! I am so proud of him.

Wow!! Very talented. I always wondered what it would be like to have such a great musician in the family. You could just be hanging out and instead of listening to music you could literally have a live performance

That's some remarkable piano playing! I've never been much of a fan of jazz piano sounds, just not a preference, but that could make a believer out of anyone, and certainly has me. Wow.

That said, and no offense, but FiremanOly could have a bite of some stfu cake, lol.

Wow, that was awesome! I loved Classical Gas and Bridge Over Troubled Water.

I like how he rocks out, lol.

I didn't notice if they got a good shot of it, but his "thing" is kicking his leg back and forth when he really gets going. Cracks me up every time. :) The other pianists in the concert tease him about it.

Thanks so much for posting this! Great playing. At the beginning of "Don't Get Around Much...". he made a brief comment about the Duke. But his playing reminds me more of the influences of Oscar Peterson, a master with "busy hands" with flashes of deep bass for emphasis and right-hand arpeggios. Yet, although your Dad's own style is clear, he does not impose it heavily on the pieces. In each of the three he has captured and preserved well the original style and feel. We do see him take more "liberties" and have a lot of fun near the end of "Bridge Over Troubles Waters" (one of my long-time favourite pieces).

I told him I posted this and he wants me to put up his website with the cd on it, but it's got his real name (through which mischief makers could figure out my real name.) If anyone happens to want a cd PM me and I can send you the link.

Wait, people don't use their real names on here? :hmm:
