My Dad got a forklift-Update Photos of the rest of the collection

My Dad lives in Poway on 13 acres and is retired and he has discovered Craig's list, and he has disposable income. I finally got some good shots of his latest acquisition. He found a used 8-ton construction forklift for around $4k. What he is going to do with a 8-ton forklift that can lift 3500lbs 30 feet into the air I am not sure. Apparently a lot of people are dumping used construction equipment because of the economy. My Step-mom asked If I could block craig's list at there house. The fork-lift runs great and is fun to drive.

Hmmm, forklifts are a lot of fun, back when I was 13, me and a friend "got" a "summer job" at his dad's company, the forklift races were pure awesomness 😀

Excellent purchase. unlike a POS small tire warehouse forklift, that thing won't get stuck in the gravel.

My Dad did also buy one of those for around $500 about a year ago. He wasn't very happy with it and the motor doesn't work very well, doesn't have enough power to get up the driveway to the house. For around $500 I told him what do you expect.

It looks like another fork lift in the back of the first picture. What's that?

That is the crappy warehouse forklift he got for $500 about a year ago. He wasn't very happy with that purchase.

Your father's funny. That's a hell of a toy collection :^D

He should get a trackhoe. You could have a lot of fun on one of them.

Hehe, he learned the hard way. My neighbor has one. I tried to bring my drill press back from his shop, and could not get up my driveway. I went back and it took several tries to get up his paved driveway in the rain. Now it never ventures off the high flat ground.🙂
