In March of last year I ordered a PA11 NIS from Crutchfield (allows you to have direct RCA connections and IPOD connections to Nissan/Infiniti radios)

Since I was not happy with my FM Modulator I really wanted the direct inputs for my XM radio. After ordering it last year in March I got a call a week later saying it was on backorder with an estimated delivery date of 1 month later. I said "OK", then every month I would get a call saying it would be another month. I kept saying "OK" and finally said stop calling and just send it when it arrives. I pretty much forgot about it. The when I got home yesterday there was a box on the doorstep and it was my order from 10 months ago.

In Crutchfields defense, it was the manufacturer's fault, and they even changed the model to support newer ipods (or something) since I ordered it originally.

Oh well, I did the install today and am very happy with the device :)

I had similar experience with a rare book I ordered from Amazon.com. Only took 9 months. I'd get an email updated every 3 weeks asking me if I still wanna wait or cancel the order.

did you ever try going to a custom car audio place to see if they could have done something for you. I bet they could have.

LOL, I love the clock on that car. It's sooooo outta place. It's an after thought when they finished designing the car.

Designer : Yeah baby, how you like the interior of the car?
Manager: Dude, you forgot to put in a clock.
Designer: Aaaaah, sh!t. *drills a hole on the center console, sticks a IKEA 99 cent clock in the hole*

When Infiniti first came out, they used to use the clock (and it's location) in their commercials, marketing it as designed for all the passengers not just the driver or something like that. :)
