has lived during the times of:

The Great SF Earthquake
The Titanic
WW1
The stock market crash
the depression
WW2
The Korean War
Vietnam
and now this bombing.

and she's still kicking and her mind is as sharp as ever too, she's totally aware of what's going on. hehe I bet that lady has seen The Price is Right 10,000 times. It's unbelievable that my grandma who I see like every weekend and she even comes over and watches football with us sometimes was alive when before Airplanes were invented and was an adult by the time Babe Ruth started playing baseball. Simply mind blowing. Hell She was a grandmother by the time of the Eisenhower administration! JESUS.

all you listed were the casualities of this past 97 years - how about the goods times?

WW1 victory day
Roaring 20s
WW2 victory day
Black & White TVs then Color TVs
Cell phones
Computers! :)
Fax machines
Baby boom
Greatest economy in the end of 90s

I'm sure there are a bunch of of other great things that she has lived to see as well. Now the question is, does she have great grand-kids? ;)

her and my grandfather's total offspring (kids, grandkids, great grandkids.....) is over 100 people. She had 9 kids, each of them averaged like 3 kids each, each of them.... She doesn't do birthday cards anymore because she would have to do like 2 a week EVERY WEEK!

My other grandma on the other hand only has two grandkids total, me and my sister.

I think I wanna have a lot of kids so once I get through the misery of raising 10 kids, I'll have a great support system when I'm crusty and old.

yeah, she's a freak, she hasn't even had a cold in years, she is on NO MEDICATION whatsoever, and she has zero medical problems. She's healthier than I am! She's even outlived some kids and grandkids. Some of her sons (my uncles) are in their 70's now and their health is worse than hers.

BTW, she drinks one beer a day. I always ask her if she wants a second beer and she always says, "nope, just one for me today."

It's funny though, I was jokin around andasked her "Grandma, do you remember the Lucitania" and she responded "yeah, I remember that, but we went over their and kicked the Kaiser's ass." It just blew me away.

Well then post pics of her when the camera was first invented since it would fit the historical relevance here.

The Price is Right is really addictive, if I'm flicking channels and its on, and I have nothing else to do, it will suck me right in.
