My Credit Card got hacked

Today I found my credit card had a charge from some Agentina Airlines. The only stuff I've purchased online has been from computer type companies that I know many of you buy stuff at.

Check all your recent card bills and make sure your card wasn't hacked also. If you watch the news in the US, some online credit card authorization company got hacked recently and exposed over 8 Million credit card numbers and accounts. They don't know yet if this info is tied to any false charges, but be aware.

Peace

You should call them and see if you can at least get credit for the frequent flyer miles 🙂

I would love to see how much money the credit card companies lose each year due to fraud.

i'd feel sorry for credit card companies if they weren't so unethical themselves. I did a big report on credit card companies and the ways they take your money, and its not pretty. Then again, pay your bills on time and they wont even get the chance to screw you over. For things like this, sh1t happens, just gotta get through it

Yeah you miss one payment and I hope you've got lube.

Same thing happened to my friend a while ago. Somebody got a hold of her digits and started ordering from small online companies. Fortunately for her, American Express didn't even have her pay the $50 liability for CC fraud. She called a CSR, filled out a bunch of forms, got a new number, and everything turned out okay.

When I wake up in the morning the first websites I hit are my online banking and cc's to make sure that everything looks ok then e-mail then my forums then AT.

You should invest in a firewall for your CC.... My credit card doesn't even have Internet access yet, so I'm not too worried about it getting hacked. 🙂

Mr. Gate, how are you supposed to be a model of technological empowerment if your credit cards don't even have Internet access yet? 😀

Hah. Is that to see what you purchased in your last hot deal stuper (and if it was charged correctly) or to see if it's really been stolen? I think the former. 😛
