I have a FC0370-2 model GORB and it runs at an odd 6200 RPM's. Is this normal? The website says the fan is supposed to operate at 4500 RPM's. I switched from a normal FC0370 GORB because the older model GORB difficult to install/remove with the layout of my CUSL2.

Anyway, is there a way to reduce the RPM's on this? The high RPM's actually gives this GORB decent performance: P3-700@1000, 1.75v, 27C idle, 40C full load, while mobo is 25C, but it's just too loud.

Moving this over to Cases/Cooling, please post there.

That's odd... my GORB's run right at 5000 rpm +/- 100
Are you sure the RPM's are being monitored properly... I thought I heard somewhere that CUSL2 boards have problems with temp and rpm speeds...

I have a regular gorb, a few actually. I'm pretty sure all of 'em were running around ~48000 rpm's on this same mobo. Temperatures were almost the same, 1-2 degrees higher. It monitors the case fans fairly properly. My blue orbs only reported speeds of around 5700 rpm's I think.

The reason I even checked was because it's LOUD at these RPM's. Easily the loudest thing in my system right now. I never noticed the old GORB in my system.
