Okay, so I am coming off of some anti depressants and apparently strange dreams are one of the side effects. I have been having some extremely fvcked up dreams lately, but I never attributed it to the medicine until now. For example, here is my dream from last night. The only reason I can remember it was because when I would up I was so dumbfounded by it I made myself remember it. Keep in mind that this is when I remember from, and that I'm sure there was plenty more before this:
Okay, so it starts out at my house at night and apparently something is going on but I can't remember what. I do remember that I was freaking out because my mom had been living out in the barn because she was depressed or something, and something about my dad and a motorcycle. But I was trying to convince my mom that if she stayed out there she would end up like (blank. not sure what this thing is supposed to be other than it is living and she will become it. made sense at the time) this slimy red tube like creature. It was extremely long, and it's head poked up out of the ground with these nasty long antennas sticking out of it, and the back of it came out of the ground and snaked around a tree and at the end of it were a bunch of mutilated body parts growing out of it including a baby's head.
Then for some reason it goes from that to us (my family) being aboard a large Russian ship and we had to get to the other ocean (i envisioned north america and we were in the pacific, but i was thinking we were over by Russia) and there were only 2 ways. First was the long way which I didn't want to do (whatever that way would have been, all I know is I didn't want to do it), and the second was to go around the top of Russia (picture Canada though). Problem here is that it is very dangerous because of the cold temperatures and ice. I chose to go that ways anywho, and I remember being extremely worried the whole time.
Then as we are going around this icy wasteland we pull up to some village with ancient Russian architecture (although it didn't look Russian at all) that a bunch of kids were looking at and some people were studying. My grandma was there in a trailer and I had to bring this vacuum cleaner looking thing in there and plug my laptop into it so she could do some kinda scientific research. And amazingly enough we had the window open with a fan in it, and if you pointed the fan to blow out instead of in it warmed the place up so we were able to wear shorts.
Then I woke up and went to use the bathroom, came back, turned on the History Channel, and dozed off to sleep again. There must have been a show about some kinda war on because I then went through this drawn out blow by blow story of some kinda invasion that I was leading. I had this bishop guy follow me around and he was in charge of my kids and most importantly walking my dog (which I remember doing something important but I can't remember what). Anyways a bunch of people were being killed, and I won the battle but for some reason I was being chased by the other army around some kinda wooden village (with weird high tech sh!t in it). Someone was running with me, I think the bishop but I'm not sure. Anyways I go down this long alleyway made of logs and these two goofy black kids that kept cracking jokes helped me escape because I was Santa Claus (wtf?). They lead me up these stairs to their house, then tell me to climb over it to escape.
We do, and about that time the enemy comes around the corner and the two black kids trick them into falling into a swimming pool, and there is a dead Santa Claus floating in there so one of the guys thinks it is me and are about to call off the search, but someone else is like no it's a trick (and I so I start to panic). Then I turn to the bishop or whoever and say wait, didn't he (one of the black kids) say he was a physics major and his beard was gray? And supposedly this meant we had gone the wrong way, so we turn back and jump over a bunch of roofs. This then leads us out into some open marshlands that is supposed to take several days to cross.
Then all I remember is tearing up because of how beautiful the flight at Kitty Hawk was, and how the Wright brothers were such pioneers for ushering us into the modern age (and I remember seeing the Saturn V take off) and all of this was so powerful that I woke up and I really was almost about to cry.
That's when I got up for good. The whole time I was dreaming everything seemed extremely real (moreso than typical dreams I have) and all of the weird sh!t made sense and I didn't question any of it. Now I am almost a little weary of going to sleep tonight, because they past few nights I have been having dreams like this and I really do get pretty scared during them. They are like a nightmare, but more weird scary than scary scary.
