I look on ebay and there are several for a Briggs and Stratton engine but I am not sure which one. I did a search for my model number of the mower and by the model number of the engine with no luck. It is a 19.5 hp turbo cool, any ideas?

At this point why don't you just post the model number of the tractor and the model number of the engine and we'll do the rest.

You could go down to your local lawn mower shop and the parts counter people, using the numbers off the engine, can give you a price on the starter. Unless Briggs has changed their way of identifying their engines (which they may have) there are three sets of numbers to identify that engine. Usually on the shroud. Take all three with you. Sears is just going to mark it up in price.

The least expensive way, may be to find a starter repair shop in your area and take it in to them.

I have the model number but I tried searching ebay with no luck

The model number of the mower is 917270810 and the engine is 42e707

See LTC8K6's post above. I just came up with the same starter using the numbers you provided.

He already found it for you.

If you want it from ebay, you're on your own.

Edit: Wrong forum member in original post.

I'll give him another hint.

Search for Engine.

Your engine will come up.

You can take it from there, or just click on my previous link.
