My cpu fan is spinning a little too quickly?

My sunon 23.5 cfm fan is specced for 4500 RPM plus or minus 10%.

After some simple math, is shouldn't be more than 450 revs per minute over 4500. Well, mbm5 says it's spinning at, get this, 5100 RPM. sometimes, it hits close to 5200 RPM. Should I be worried?

Seems like 700/4500 = 15.5% out of spec for a fan is something to be concerned about, even if it IS giving me better airflow.

I would blame MBM before i blamed the fan.

MBM used to give me crazy out-of-spec readings all the time

Weird. The thing is, MBM used to say it was spinning at 4500ish RPM, and my bios reports the 5000+ rpms too.

If it's not mbm, is it just my mobo supplying too much voltage to my fan headers?
