I went into smartguardian ( DFI's utility for fan control and temp monitoring) a couple days ago and noticed that everything was all messed up. All the temps said 128 C and all the Fan speeds said 0000 rpm. Even the voltage doesn't move.

I dismissed it as just the software getting messed up, but i downloaded speedfan and it could not give me any fan speeds either. It can give me a hard drive temp, a core temp, and a temp1. ( not sure what the latter two are) They are all in the mid 40 C range. I noticed this was unusual because i used to get temps around 30 on a hot day, and today my ambitient case temp is 22c.

Well, I just opened up my case and saw that the CPU fan and chipset fan are not spinning at all! Can anyone tell me what is going on? Did some part of my motherboard fail? I have a DFI lanparty ultra-d.

Thanks in advance,

I fixed it. Uninstalled smartguardian again, reset CMOS, and restarted computer. I'm not sure what fixed it, but all is well. My temps and rpms show, and my fans actually spin again.
