jorts + flip-flops even and it's driving me insane :frown:

do guys just like give up once they get married and start rocking jorts and dad jeans? I find it hard to believe that any wife would let her husband leave the house looking like that.

What business are you in that you can wear any sort of jean/flip-flop combo?

I work for a hosting company... the coworker in question does windows helpdesk.

the people who might actually care about a dress code are working in our corporate office in NYC, us support guys are pretty much left alone out here in the burbs, but still... jorts.

something to wear to work where nobody cares about dress code?
Jean shorts are seriously what you are going to complain about? Who the hell cares what is being worn at a work environment in which nobody cares what is being worn? I'd wear whatever the hell I want at such a job, not dressing to impressing anyone.

You know, you are NOT helping your stereotype. :p

i never got why people hate on 'jorts' so much...jeans are fine, but make them shorter/more comfy for warm weather, and all of a sudden your a loser?

let the man wear what he wants, as i sit here in slacks, shirt, and tie...i would kill for jorts and flip flops!

i'm imagining the cutoff jean shorts? not bermuda type precut style? If i am correct, then your co worker has more in common with george michael than you think ;)

idk, it's like common sense that you should dress semi-respectably in a professional environment regardless of whether there's an official dress code on the books or not. I wouldn't consider jorts + flip-flops fit for going to the grocery store in, much less going to work.

just looking around the room, it seems like 80% of the people here are wearing some form of a collard shirt + jeans or pants with the rest wearing jeans/t-shirt, which I'd say is perfectly acceptable in a casual office... but jorts?

You're lucky I don't work where you do. Fuck jorts, I'd be showing up in jockeys.

I call shens on this post. I think the post is just a thinly veiled front for the OP to use the word(?) "jorts."

I don't usually care what I wear but even jorts are off-limits.

I don't care what I wear. My wife told me that one of the things she found attractive about me was that I wasn't concerned about wearing stylish and label clothing.

Your wife was attracted to your slovenly dress? Yeah well my chick digs me because she wanted a man who was 50lbs. overweight. She's really turned on by the stink of diabeetus on my breath.

Not wearing name brand clothes == slovenly?

The pretentiousness ITT is off the charts. :p

Google?

I remember seeing someone in Pajamas, flip flops, and they brought their dog over.
