They were married, but got divorced and the women became a lesbian and the man homosexual, as well. Go figure.

If this is true, they didn't suddenly "become" homosexual, but already were. They just admitted it to each other.
 
Maybe they knew all along (about themselves and each other) and were good friends and just got married to maintain an image their families could deal with. Then divorced when they were ready to come out of the closet to everyone else.

well, you'd think that a gay guy married to a lesbian girl might just work out . . . especially if they swung a little bit both ways (and were cool staying married to someone without the love/attraction). . . .
