My copy of Bad Company 2 just arrived.

What does a complete and total n00b to Battlefield need to know? Any tips to keep from getting molested too badly? The closest I've ever come to one of these games was watching a roomie play 1942 five or six years ago. Are people asshats to newbies like I kept running into in L4D?

I did. Well, not all 100+ pages so that info might be in there, but it seems like most everyone had some prior experience with BF games, and not a lot of info for someone who has never touched one before.
