Yeah because you pay about 4 times as much for less than half the minutes. Only reason people like Nextel is you can have 2 way radio contact.
I have two Motorola phones. Shared plan:
1500 "regular" minutes 7am to 7pm.
Unlimited night and weekend minutes.
Web service.
600 minutes of radio time--if I am talking with wife on radio, it is only counted once.
I can call anywhere in my plan and have no ld fees.
I pay 78 bucks a month for this--almost no dropped calls, and crystal clear reception.

SINGLEsprint phone cost me almost as much with half the features.
If you talk with a Nextel rep and say that "so and so's plan is offering me THIS" the rep will do whatever they can to match the plan.
