BLOODY HELL! the contact "collapsed" on itself and now is somewhere underneath my eyelid, in a place that I cannot find. I am clawing at my eye like mad in a futile attempt to move it to a place that I can grab it and straighten it out. I'm sure some of you people with soft contacts know what I'm talking about. Any tricks to getting this POS out? It's driving me bloody mad!

HAHA! :D That sux!

I had that happen a few years ago, and I swear it's still in there. I had it fold over and go to the top of my eye. I never got it out, and I don't remember it falling out.

It's happend a few times since. I usually just blink a lot and flush my eye with saline.

Well, you could pop your eye out and remove it....

... on second thought, you better not. Go see a doctor?

Pull your upper eyelid down over your lower one and let it come up... this sometimes will 'snag' the contact and get it to where you can pull it out.

if you dont feel any discomfort, its probably not in there. If mine get folded and stuck, i feel it. Then, i move my eye as close to it as possible(as if i'm trying to look it without a mirror), close my eyes, and then move my eye slowly in the opposite direction. Works everytime for me.

That happened to me about a year ago. My contact came apart and rolled up under my eyelid. I couldn't not find it at all. Don't think that its gone no matter what anyone tells you. Don't leave it in either, it will eventually stick to your eye and cause an infection. I went to my opthalmologist and she put some contrast in my eye and finally was able to find and take it out. Then she gave me some drops to make sure it did not get infected (you've problably been fooling with your eye too much as well). Just go and get it taken care of.

So you had time to post this while the contact was messed up?
Or did you get it out, and then feel the need to share your victory at the expense of bandwidth?

I don't know, I think AT has this positive effect on me. I tried for 20 minutes at the post office and at my car and when I got home, then I griped on AT, and viola, contact comes out. All hail ATOT =)

Mine was dried on to my eye once, I had to go to the ER and have it sprayed out with saline:eek: But that was my fault, I never should have had them in for 18 hours.

At the post office and your car? Your hands problably weren't very clean. You should get some drops for your eyes.

I was running late for school one day becuase I woke up late. In a daze, still half asleep I ran into the bathroom to put on my contacts and brush my teeth when I accidentally sprayed disinfectant into the contact instead of saline. AHHHHH!!! Have you ever had disinfectant get into your eye! It burns like crazy!!!

Anyways I went to school without contacts and with one really really red and puffy eye!
