I have a Windows ME computer that has a history of freezing up for no reason. I would always shut down and reboot. Then it would be fine. The last time I shut it down and now it won't start. No fan - no light - nothing. I have checked continuity on the main power switch, the power cable, the recept for the power supply. Any ideas.

It's tired of putting up with the insanity that is Windows ME. It's begging for an upgrade.

Check if there's anything wrong with the power button?

That's a really weird problem - be sure that the motherboard is connected to the PSU, and that it is getting power.

If the power button doesn't work/isn't connected to the motherboard properly, it's the button. If it isn't getting power, then it's a PSU problem. If it is, then it's a motherboard problem. At least, IMO ;).
