Tittle really sums up my problem, I don't know why but my system that had XP on it for 4 months will no longer run XP...It runs 2k fine.

So until I get this figured out, I would like to know if there is any way to have windows 2k work with SLI.

Here is a link to my other post, regarding my XP woes: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear

Well thanks for any help, I only need a yes or no atm, im looking around trying to find an answer to no avail.

Tried re-installing WinXP? I find it highly highly strange that a system that was running XP will suddenly stop running XP. One reason it will do that is a critical hardware component is malfunctioning. We can rule that out since it can still boot Win 2k. The only other explanation is a software corruption of some kind, likely critical drivers to the operation of WinXP.

Native Command Queuing. Something normally found only on server hard drives, but lately high-performance desktop drives like Raptors and 500+GB drives are coming with it.

What brand and model is your hard drive?

Well, that link explains it all - ill give a fast summary:

More or less the system will NOT boot XP, when it did it kept freezing, this randomly happened after 4 months of perfect computing. So, I reformatted, now I cannot install XP without getting various errors. Example is ACPI is not working...Ram errors.

However if i install windows 2k, it runs flawlessly...aside from the fact that 2k is not SLI friendly. 2k recognizes all of my hardware - the only problem I am seeing is my mobo running at 45C...which i have no idea how to fix at this time. But even with that, XP should load...right ?
