I am not sure what is wrong with my computer but it will not boot, only beeps at me. It froze earlier while I was playing a game so I hardbooted and once it was booted up it froze again. Now when I try to turn it on I am getting nothing on the screen at all its just blank and the motherboard beeps at me. It is an Abit nf7-s mobo, and my CPU is an amd 2500+ overclocked to 3200+ speeds (and then was set back to original setting to see if that was maybe the problme). If the battery on the mobo was dead (pc has not been keeping time very well lately) would that make it not boot up?

I think I may have a bad piece of ram... I took one piece out and left the other in and all of the sudden it works fine. Would a bad stick of ram cause that problem?

Switch the rams again and if the system will not boot it's obvious the ram is bad and can cause your problem.
