My Computer Sux0rz!

Well if any of you read my previous threads on my OC's than youd understand what Im talking about. Anyways, what seemed to be a stable OC on my PC at 2.2GHz @ 1.7Vcore turned out to be a nightmare. I tried FarCry all the way up to 1.775 Vcore and de sh*t still rebooted so now its at 2.1GHz @ 1.7Vcore. I guess there is no hope in OCing this machine so I will just wait until I build a new PC and then join the club once more. I seriously doubt its the CPU so I guess this is one heck of a 2600 Mobile waste eh?

Sorry to hear about that. I can run my oldschool 2500+ at 3200+ with a Vcore of 1.625. Prime stable for 8hours +.

Do you have a spare CPU to pop in there and check? I find it hard to believe there is a mobile 2600+ out there that can't go 200mhz beyond default spec.

send your 2600+ to me.. i'll test it out 🙂

i can lend you another cpu in the meantime (2400+ 35watter from my sig).

I would supsect something else might be the culprit. I am currently scratching my head on a similar problelm and I suspect it is the incompatibility of the ram and the mb.I Just swapped in another two sticks of ram to see what happens. Bought a nf7-s (curretnly using 8rda+ right now) on the forum but don't know when I would get it. :frown:

check case cooling, mobo mounting....that DFI + Mobile should be 2.4ghz minimum. My 2.5 2500 is at 1.75vCore

Ya I know this sux ass! I think its my PSU or possibly the RAM. When I find me a job I'll buy a new PSU and some better memory and see what happens. Maybe its possible that my video card sux ass too but I dont know.
