My computer stopped working with my K7V

I need help. I just got a new fan for my slot A since mine died. When i put it in, and fired the system back up it doesnt even make it thru its power on self test. It just turns on. so i was wondering if it was my fan or what so i took it out and put the old one back on and still doesnt work. What the heck happend to my computer? did my mobo die? or is my processor? or powersupply? man this is gonna suck

I beleive the same thing happened to me.

When you put the power on, does it make a faint sound? somthing like a police siren in England?

what happened to me is, it happend all of a sudden, I left my room for a while, when i returned to use my computer it was frozen. I try to hard boot it and nothing. it went to the point where it is trying to initialize the bios and then just stopped and started to make that sound. Long story short My motherboard is still under warranty so i was able to send it back to ASUS. they reflashed the bios and sent it back. bad part is it took over a month to do. so, if this is the same problem, that is what you have in store.

oh jees, this is what i might have to go thru.....? I dont think it is under warrenty anymore dog gone it....might have to up grade...anyone else have any ideas?
