wtf?

please don't tell me I must reformat...

it literally just keeps on loading and loading at the Windows screen before the Desktop shows up...

any help would be appreciated...

Did you install any programs lately or change diriver settings? A couple of things you might try would be to disable any unnecessary programs in the startup (Start->Run->msconfig), or if you installed something right before it went down uninstall it. In addition, while you're in safe mode run an AV and spyware check. You can try a repair install of Windows, though that might not fix whatever issue you have now.

your memory sticks could be/are bad, try switching them around 😛 and maybe try to update bios? (if necesary)

switched mem sticks around...no dice...

did NOT install anything lately...

I tried updating the BIOS in Safe mode...it does not allow me to...any other way to do it...

also...my keyboard lights up when it's at the loading screen but when it would usually go to desktop it just keeps loading and keyboard turns off...any ideas?

nm...got the bastard...reintalled every piece of hardware and poof...it worked...

it said I had a serious error with some TEMP folders...some .werd thing?

???

Your fix was hardware and software related?

Is it possible that something was not seated completely/properly in its slot, shorting it?
