when i turn my computer on it seems pretty normal, hard drives lights go on and it starts doin stuff. But my monitor never turns on. It's not the monitor, i plugged in another one and it just sat on standby. When the computer is turned off there is a never-ending beep. this is not normal and i have no idea what the beep means. Everything is plugged in properly.

Is my processor fried or something? it's a thunderbird 800
i highly doubt it's my motherboard or videocard

make sure you video card (or all other cards) are firmly seated into their slots !!
many AGP cards pop out of their slots, on newer mother boards there is a plastic
locking device that secures the card into place, but older ones do that have that..
and make sure your keyboard is plugged in.. although if it was your keyboard, the
bios should beep at you during startup... but check your cards (any AGP or PCI cards).

I don't even get the bios screen. It's as if nothing gets sent to the monitor, it remains in stand-by mode. All cards are firmly in place. And it's no failure on the video card because i tried a different one too.
