Ok this is gonna be long but here it is.

About a week ago World of Warcraft would crash while I was playing and my computer was over run with spy and malware so much that my malware program could find it but not delete it (though it thought it did). My World of Warcraft account ended up being hacked (i found this out after I wiped out the computer and checked my mail when I couldn't log into WoW),

When I got my account back I started playing again but WoW would crash and the computer would make a beep noise. It came from the computer itself cause the speakers were off. I wiped the computer clean again and reinstalled WoW. The computer would still beep and WoW would freeze for a second (i can move my mouse since i play in windowed mode but nothing in the game would run til it unfroze).

I did all this once more and even installed wow on my second hard drive to see if it was maybe my drive. Since then the computer beeps and clicks like it would in WoW while I am just using the computer normally or trying to open up a program (like firefox). I don't even have WoW installed anymore and its still doing it more than before.

I was even getting a blue screen of death sometimes while playing WoW. The error was: Stop: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x89BAA020, 0X89BAA194, 0X805D29AC)

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this problem. I have tried something but its really starting to get me mad. I bought the computer from my friend about a month ago, right when i got it I installed a fresh copy of XP and everything was running fine for the month til i got hit with the spyware.

forgot to add that this all started when the power went out in my house for a few seconds (or so my dad told me, i woke up to my computer off) and he had to repair his computer with the dell cd (he called dell). When I turned mine on i had a blue screen but i turned it off and tried again it ran fine til i restarted it then i got the blue screen again, went in safe mode, was asked if i wanted to run a file i said no, got in, deleted the file restarted and it ran (the file was a deamon tools file) and thats when i formatted and reinstalled windows cause deamon tools couldn't be uninstalled and i had all that spyware i couldn't get rid of.

The beep from inside your PC is your internal speaker and usually the beeps form a code that can decifer what issue it may be having. Sounds like your PC may have been damaged when the power went out, especially if it was on, and if it was a spike.

My guess would be bad ram, I'd check it with MemTest.

Being it was a power failure you may have a damaged PSU that doesn't show any problems untill your in a game and the system is trying to pull more power. Best way to verifi weather its the PSU or not is to try a differnt PSU.

I think wahst ch33z was talking about is poping in the XP disk and having it perform a repair install to correct any damaged windows files. There could be curruption or file damage on the HDD from the power outage. Especially if it was in the middle of writing some data to the HDD.

Use Memtest86+, and run the test for ~12-24 hours. RAM won't always fail right away. If that passes..for the freezing, you should start by running the hard drive manufacturers diagnostic utility. If that passes, go right to mpilch's suggestions. I fought a freezing issue for about 2 months a couple years back, due to crappy power in my apartment. PC ran fine until I started using a couple hard drives or playing a game.In the end, I lost two PSU's there, and possibly a TV looking back on it..
