my computer keeps on freezing!!! what could be wrong?

i have a celeron 633, tyan trinity 400 Mobo, voodoo3 2000, and a sound blaster live value, and 64 megs of hyundai ram... not sure if thats the brand of the ram.. anyhow.. my computer keeps on freezing. i think it happens a lot when i change windows on my desktop, when i run the demo of quake 3 its not a problem. could it be a ram issue? and i keep on getting signed off of AOL instant messenger. what could possibly be wrong? please let me know
 
Take out the components one by one until it doesnt do it anymore start with Ram vid card and the other essentials cpu...but take out your ethernet modem....etc..

it does it every once in a while
sometimes its better then other.. it'll be ok for a bit.. then all of a sudden, it'll freeze like 5 times in 30 mintues
 
Don't forget that it could be just plain old windows. Try a re-install and/or re-format if it doesn't kill you. 99% of the time, so long as the processor runs at rated speed, any hardware problems are RAM related.
