My computer isnt detecting my optical drives

this might be a little away from the PSU, but..... did you update your BIOS or install a newer version of windows (ie, SP2) anytime right after changing the PSU?

i know after i upgraded my windows i had to download new bios because my computer wouldnt detect my drives either

What kind of PSU is it?

Its not a 3rd party type, or an "unknown" maker type is it?

Becuase if it is a cheap PSU, maybe one of the rails is out, or that particular cable running to the drives is f'ed.

Try different molex connectors from the PSU

I fixed it..I just knocked the connection to the mobo loose will I was installing 😱
