My computer is really, really, really slow coming out of hibernation...

Running Xp Sp2 all the latest updates, and in the last few days it's been taking aaaaaaaaggggggeeeees to come out of hibernation, seems to get stuck when the white resume bar gets all the way along, then the monitors go blank for anything up to a few minutes before my login screen comes up...

any ideas?

no to the second part, and no, other than the AOEIII demo (but the problem started a few days ago 🙁)
 
See if you can update to the latest drivers for ALL devices. Drivers often cause the biggest issues for Standby and Hibernation.
