My computer is asleep?

I have a Pentium II 500mhz comp and its been around for several years. I never had any problems w/ it and it has been very reliable. I usually leave it on all day, and i have done so for quite some time. However, i was using it last night to burn cds, left it on, and this morning it wouldn't turn on. Did the power box burn out? How can i tell what went wrong?

It depends what is happening. But the most likely thing is something in the powersupply. If you have access to another one, try to swap them and see if it works. It could just be the fuse in the powersupply, i've switched those a couple times and rescued a few p/s out of the trash that way.
