Whenever I go to My Computer, then double click "C:" my explorer window hangs for like 30 secs.... whats the deal? I tried defragging and it didnt help, am I doing something wrong here? It was fine before.

Ad-Aware SE Pro can do full system scan (found much more), and Ad-Aware 6.0 can only do smart-system scan

Yep, check for spyware and BHOs. Also, do you have any humongous zip files on your system? Have you rebooted lately, especially since the last restore-from-suspend? Are there any suspicious looking processes running?

6.0 ad-aware is no longer. You will see this when you try to update it :) SE is the most reliable and thorough FREE scanner out there. G-Luck

Run another scan and see if the stuff stayed gone or not. Also, if your WD has an ATA cable all to itself, make sure it's jumpered for Single Drive and not Master, Slave or Cable Select.

i had a hardrive failure that caused the same symptoms.. the computer would take forever to boot and even longer to get to "My Computer"

luckily it was just a backup drive and once i pulled it out everything was back to normal.

does the Hard drive churn away when you do the click or is it just silent....i.e just hangs and then suddenly starts after a while?

Try running something like winamp in the background while you right click the my computer icon.....does it hang too....

What are your system specs...
