my computer and PDA are hosed and I am too lazy to fix them

my ipaq, well i let it marinate on the floor too long one time and then the battery died and it forgot everything. My computer, i have strange problems with files missing that shouldn't be missing. This sucks, this is like a whole days worth of work.
