I know this is going to get locked. But here goes....
There is an obvious reason people don't post in smaller forums like Software. Nobody ever reads or answers those threads. I have posted threads in that forum that never get replies, as have many people. The fact is that if you want a decent response to your thread, you will typically post it in either General Hardware, OT, or Hot Deals.
There are too many categories. AT should consider consilidating many of the smaller forums into one or two. I know its groovy to have all these different categories to appeal to a wide range of people. But if in reality many of those categories don't attract attention, why insist on keeping them and forcing people to post dead threads in them?
AT is one of the many forums that try to use a whole bunch of categories, and usually only 3-4 of them generate any interest.
I would have posted this in the Forum Issues, but only a small percentage of the people on the board use that one either.
