Been there only a little over a year (last april), survived two hurricances with them and helped get the building back up and operational (I was removing trees from our parking lot, clearing water from the building, getting all servers up and operational as well ;) ).

Since then I just like to be involved + if I see something wrong *even if it's not my job* I will fix it, providing my priorities can be completed as well. As a result I do work a little longer than some. Apparently other's have noticed....this is rare to me.

Got a nice bump in pay at 1 year (double digit %, company max outside me and a 'few' individuals was 4%)...then won my dept's award for the quarter (teh trophy teh cash), then won the whole companies award for the quarter, got a private parking space to boot + cash!.

I am doing nothing different than what I do.

Today I got up after the hurricane last night, drove in to work, got all the machines up and running for the rest of the country, came back home to nef and drink!

profit! I am not expecting anything for doing this...however, it's nice to know that the company does.

It seems hard to find them, but there are still a few great places to work...

Let's here those happy with work! We all know if we could retire we would, but making the best of your 8hours+ a day ain't bad if you have to get paid from somewhere.

unfortunately slow my roll...

my 'boss' just called and asked why did I tell the receptionist if she turned off her power strip, she could just turn it back on and everything would start up.

This was a 10 email exchange before she sent me:

"is this true?"

seriously WTF?
