Processor - Tbird 1ghz AXIA
Sound Card - Phillips Acoustic Edge
Video Card - 3D Prophet II 4500 (kyro2 or geforce2??)
Hard Drive - IBM DeskStar 40gb ata100/7200rpm (ALREADY HAVE)
Burner - Plextor 16x10x40
Reader - Acer 52x
Case - Full Tower Predator w/300watt AMD PS
Ram - 256 Crucial tech
Fan - ?????? (Will eventually overclock and want a good fan thats not to noisy)
Case Fans - ???????? (same as above)

This is what I have so far, price for all of this is around $950.00 or so. But I am not sure on everything else, let me know what you would pick in its place or comments on what I have picked so far. I'm just trying to get others opinions that maybe have some of these components. Thanks all =o)

It's all good... no DVD-ROM?
As for CPU fan.. try the Volcano II. Quiet and efficient.

May I make a few suggestions....

Video Card: GeForce 2 Pro (clocked higher)
Case: Antec SX1030
Heatsink: GlobalWin FOP-38 is a good one, but kinda loud. Taisol makes quality, quiet HS's

Everything else seems great

make sure the ram is CAS 2, and as everyone else said, go with a geforce2 gts or pro, you can get them for about the same price as that kryo, and with better performance and less chance of issues.

Did you look at DDR solutions or did you want to stick to PC133 RAM? A good DDR solution is the Epox EP-K7A which can be had with a RAID configuration I believe as well.

Looks pretty good, but for the sound card why not go for a santa cruz or a hercules game theatre xp? And maybe think about ddr, just a thought

You might consider the Alpha PAL6035 w/ the 28CFM fan. I have a T-bird 1 Ghz, cool as a cucumber and nice and quiet! :D

thanks for the info guys, well im gonna stick with pc133 ram just cuz its so cheap right now. I know DDR is pretty chip but the motherboards are sometimes spensy and part of the fact is that DDR ram is somewhat bottlenecked right now.

I add a PCI slot fan called a "system exhaust blower" for PCI1 in all systems I build. I love these. It will sit about 4-5mm from the AGP adapter sucking the heat off it and out the rear of the case.

Definately go for good, cas2 ram. It doesn't cost but a few dollars more.

looks good i like taisol cpu fans. i have no experience with kyro2 so can't comment on that. i was going to say don't get an IBM drive, but I see you already have that. sound card looks good. don't know much about case fans. burner is good. maybe get a beefier Power supply for future.

I looked up those Taisol fans, the CGK High with 30 CFM Delta fan, had a good review to it and its only like $32 bux, think it said like a pen700 to 1150 at like 31c or something...Im mainly looking for a good fan that i can use to oc the 1ghz axia to 1.4 with no problems

I would also go with the Antec SX1030 0r 1040, it's an awesome case,
I just got the acoustic edge and like it a lot.
And I would go with the Geforce 2 card.

Why not upgrade to a 1.2ghz CPU? Depending on where you get it, the upgrade can only be $20..

And, the Plexwriter 16 Write? Is there really that much of a difference in burning speed from 12x to 16x. I mean, how many people burn their CD's at a faster speed than 12x?
