My comp idles at 30% usage in the task manager

Hello all,

I noticed recently that my rig has been idling at an average of 30% cpu usage in the task manager. It never did this before. I first noticed it when i checked my temperatures and they were about 5 degrees hotter than before.

my rig is as follows:

q9450 @ 3.2ghz
4gb gskill ram
8800gts 512
evga 750i ftw
wd 320gb hd
wd 640gb hd
audigy 2zs
vista x64

The only apps i have running are AIM, mozilla, and steam. Is there any way i can get it to idle back at 1-3% like it used to? Is there something I'm missing? Or something I'm doing wrong? Thanks
 
Bring up the task manager(ctrl-alt-del), click on processes and see what is taking up that 33%
If you need to sort by CPU
