AKRON -- A mechanic who works at Akron?s main post office complex has been charged with pouring urine into a coffee pot in an employee break room.
Prosecutors say 49-year-old Thomas Shaheen of Springfield Township spiked the coffee on July 5th and 6th. His co-workers installed a video camera when they suspected a problem.
Shaheen is charged with two misdemeanor counts of alteration of food or placing harmful objects in food.
None of his co-workers got sick from the coffee.
Shaheen has been a postal employee for eleven years. He will appear in court on Monday.
