Isomac Tea espresso machine. I changed the pressurestat, and the boiler pressure is very consistent and only oscillates about 0.1 bar.

impressive the la marrazco machine i use move about 1 or 2 bar.

I'd love an LM 🙂 A microroaster down the street has a 4 group LM, but I don't know how well it maintains pressure. This is a better pressurestat than the original by far, because in the beginning it would oscillate ~1 bar or so after a full warm-up. After the Tea warms up with the new pressurestat it's incredible.

see if u can buy a la marazzco used from starbucks they are using a 4 group machine with a double portifilter. they are now moving from the marazzco to a all in one (grinder , tamper , and brewer) machine.

Starbucks came pretty late to my city, and when they did they were already on the superautos. I doubt any of them have an LM lying around, but it might be worth a shot!

what kinda water are you using?

I have a water cooler, so I order ~15-20 gallons each month from a local water company that bottles Mountain Valley, SpringHouse, etc.; it ends up being cheaper this way. Last I checked the water was pretty soft, but I'll decalcify the machine after a while anyway.

just a suggestion, but you may want to look into getting a RO(reverse osmosis) water filter, not only is it good for your coffee, but it can be better water than bottled(spring) water; that is if you like the tase of purified water. Some like the taste of spring water.

I think Watts/Premier sells a 5 stage one at Costco for like $155 (its even online), which is a very good price for a RO unit. My RO water only has like 3-6ppm according the the TDS meter I have.
