Can't wait til a customer calls the police and all of you are arrested and have a great laugh in a jail cell. Idiots.

The fact that the OP has to ask if it's a big deal or not, makes you an idiot too.

I think OP is lying or mistaken. None of this has happened as stated.

how does it not? just because it is not a real bomb really does not matter.

So a backpack left by someone is a bomb threat? OK.... How often do you change your underpants every day because a loud noise frightens you?

This fucking country has gone to shit.

wich makes me wonder why he doesn't think it would fall under a bomb threat.

leaving a bag in public then yelling out who's backpack is just a dumb fucking thing to do. good luck in court when you get caught.

Bullshit.

I live in a university town -- 30,000 kids running around with backpacks every day. In addition, every cook, bartender and waitress I know, carries a backpack with a change of clothes, work shoes, etc.

Do you know how many backpacks get left behind in stores, bars, banks, restaurants, on buses and on sidewalks EVERY SINGLE DAY? Dozens. How many do you think are treated as possible bombs?

I'm going with this, or it's in some other country. If they pulled that shit in a U.S. bank I imagine we'd already have seen pictures of the SWAT team that shot them.

Piss off.

Someone walks into a place and looks like they intentionally leave something like that in an area and vacate it and it looks suspicious, it is considered to be a bomb threat.

Common sense is usually involved.

But might be where your missing the point.

WTF does "looks like they intentionally leave something" mean? If someone saw them intentionally leave a backpack, sure. But if someone doesn't? Does that "look" intentional?

Common sense is usually involved.

No, that's what you're missing. Common sense says you don't treat every abandoned package and backpack like it was fucking terrorist threat. This country would be brought to it's knees.

Of course, with most, that's your usual position.

And are banks suddenly a prime terrorist target? Just what will someone accomplish by abandoning a bomb in a bank? That would be one _very_ odd way to rob a bank.

Yeah, common sense.

OP is not being truthful.

I was thinking someone was calling in a bomb threat. Instead it's about "Anyone know who left this bag here". Assuming the story is true and represented correctly it's stupid but I don't see a criminal act being done.

Wait until an Iraq or Afghanistan veteran has a negative reaction to it.

My blood pressure rose at Disney World a month or so back when I noticed an abandoned bag next to a ride. I immediately informed a park employee and they called in security.

These things are NOT funny to a good portion of society and you should do something to stop it from happening.

PS - Now I am tracking that OP is highly likely to be full of shit. My point stands though to others who think this isn't a threat, even if it is false. To a large segment of war vets, a pile of trash or even a dead animal on the side of the road is a "threat" to them now and will be for years to come.
