How do I stop this from happening? I signed into another computer through chrome and all of a sudden all of my bookmarks were there. I never knew Google was saving my bookmarks to my account. How do I stop this from happening, and how can I get rid of the bookmarks on the other computer aside from deleting them?

since settings are synced too, all you have to do is to tell chrome in sync settings to not sync the bookmarks. alternatively, you don't have to sign in in order to use chrome.

Is there a way to tell Chrome not to sync my stuff to another computer unless I explicitly tell it too? Like I wan't certain stuff to sync to my account, but not on every computer I log in to. Some times I just need to check my email on another computer and that's it.

I'm confused: why would you sign into Chrome if you didn't want to retrieve your account settings?

I sign into my gmail account from multiple locations, but I have never signed into Chrome.

yeah, if you just need to read email, don't sign in for the sync. go to gmail.com or whatever.

again, all syncing options can be found in "Advanced sync settings"

I was completely unaware that signing into chrome and signing into gmail were two different things.
