My Christmas List

My parents, even though I'm 26, still ask me for a Christmas list of things I may want.. to give them ideas of what to get me. Of course, this is stupid, because they refuse to give me a list of what they'd like... but it allows me the wackiness of actually getting what I want (that my wife wont buy me ;)).

As many of you know, I've long since sworn of MMORPGs including the newly released ones. Mostly because well, I think I've spent too much money on them in the past, and too much time. DAoC ate much of my life away.

Looking at the games that are out, that I dont have, I've been noticing that I've got all the ones I want currently but MUST include some games in my list... so I've put two on there:

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time

and...

World of Warcraft.

I'm weak. :(

Your willpower has faded, young grasshopper. :)

I'm getting married in May and that's the reason why I'm trying to avoid WoW altogether. It's easy to think I could just play for a few months and then stop once I get married. But, based on past MMORPG experiences, I think it's easier to avoid it completely than try stop once the addiction gets going. :)

I tend to agree with you, blue. I've been married for a little over a year now, and due to the ability of the casual gamer to play (the double exp gotten from resting at Inn's) I think I could hang with the crews. B'sides, if I'm playing WoW, I may buy less games.

Yeah, definately a good point. The year I played (read: was addicted to) Asheron's Call, I bought very few new games during that time. I was playing $10/month to play, but compared to one new game a month @$50, that extra money could add up over several months if you typically purchase alot of new games.

I typically buy a game a month, so if I were to only play WoW, that'd be quite a bit of saving. Of course, I wouldnt only play that (with halo 2 in my palms.. .i love the multiplayer :D), but I already own a bunch that I'm having a lot of fun with.

I don't see Call of Duty and CoD United Offensive on your game list. Might ask for those. UO requres the original CoD, so be sure you get both if you get UO...

I've played Call of Duty already, and while I agree its' really good, I'm a bit tired of all the WW2 games... I played so many of them for so long, I'm taking a break.
