my cdrw stopped working :(

Whenever i try to burn a cd in nero i keep getting a power calibration error every single time


i tried 3 different brands of cdrs
i checked all the connections, stil wont work


it seems like when i click burn the cd spins up, then dies down, then spins up and dies again....it happens 5 or 6 times and then gives up


what can i do!!!???
 
Good old power calibration error....you can buy a new CD-RW, that's about it.
I tried to revive my original CD-R when it did that, took it apart, cleaned the mirrors, used compressed air to get every last trace of dust out...and it went from burning one disc in three to one in two, for about five more successful discs. At which point it gave up entirely.

Unless you want to replace the laser, it's time for a new drive. And no, you can't replace it. Sorry man.
