my cd rom works.. its just that when I doulbe click it, it says windows cannot find setup.exe

if i right click on the cd rom drive, and click explore, it shows me the contents of the cd.. but when I double click it, this msg comes up "windows cannot find setup.exe This program is needed to opening files of type file. type in the excutable file to be used instead. it give me the option to browse for a file but i dont no what file to use.. someone pls help. im running xp

I believe you're looking at an improperly made autorun cd. It's trying to run setup.exe which 'autorun.inf' states as being the file to execute when cd is detected.

If this is happening to ALL of your cds, then my assumption is probably wrong..
