I just formatted my cpu cause it takes 5s to load IE. I think it was the third time I turned on my cpu, then I discovered that my CD-Rom drive had disappeared, as in poof, gone. I clicked on My Computer, there is only 2 drives: A:\ and C:\. I HAVE a CD drive for first couple hours. Then I found it was gone!

WHERE IS MY D:\????????????????????????

What does this have to do with processors?

You might want to post again in the correct category otherwise it might get locked by the Mods. People don't take well to shouting (caps lock) or inappropriate bolding and stuff here.

Have you checked the cable connections on your CDROM, and made sure master and slave are set?

If you're using Win2k, you can go into the Device Manager and do a Refresh. The system sometimes doesn't detect my dvd-drive for some odd reason. However, the refresh will get it to appear. Give it a try.
