That's the nice thing about cats though: plenty of "mutt" breeds. I'm sure you can find a cat with Turkish Van somewhere up the line.
My friend's uncle had a cat who loved to play with water. My friend's graduation party was held at the uncle's house, in the backyard. The cat was out there poking around, generally being a cat, when the uncle grabs the garden hose and says "watch this". He turns it on, aims it up so it arcs high high in the air before it hits the ground and then starts moving it around a little. All of the sudden the cat just lunges for the water, chasing after it. We must have spent a half hour taking turns playing "chase the water" with the cat. It was soaked by the end of it, but it didn't seem to mind in the slightest.
