Your cat wants attention. If you don't give it attention, it just might walk through a gate at the most inopportune moment (speaking from experience here).
Right now I am holding her upsidedown in my lap. She's getting more mellow in her old age (14). She never used to let me do that to her when she was younger.

Real men have their girlfriends change the litter box. And don't have to deal with slobber, wet dog smell, barking, and general destruction of everything in their homes.

my cat does it to my nose so hard it hurts. he rears back to get lots of momentum. that's ok, but when he does it with his mouth open to strike, like a snake, that's kind of scary. hurts, too.
