My cat is destroying my carpet.

My cat is crapping and peeing all over my dining room carpet, she has a litter box and it is perfectly clean. Any one have any suggestions as to how to get her from ruining my carpet?

There is some smell she is trying to cover up. But once she starts going there you are about screwed.

Keep the liter box clean everyday and use a spray bottle to punish her if you catch her in the act. If she doesn't have a friend she maybe doing it for attenttion.

crap, shes been peeing there for about 2 weeks. It's my parents cat in reality, and when I leave again for school I dont want them getting rid of her, cause it's their carpet.

We've had this cat about 3 years now. She's done this once or twice in the past when we went on trips and she pooped in the basement (finished basement).

You need to get some Naturals Miracle or Pee-b-Gone to get rid of the smell. The cat just believes you carpet is the litter box. It?s not really its fault.

Does your carpet looks like a litter box when mon and dad are away? That may be the problem.

My cat started doing that after several years. I had to make her into an outside cat. Comes in for a couple hours every night, then back out the door.
