Last week my best buddy Smokey got his asswooped by some other cat that came into the apartment though the balcony door I left open. When I heard the commotion and ran to the living-room to find out what was going on only to see these two fighting to the death biting each other. The other cat was so big and strong that I had to hit him a few times with a broom handle to break up the fight. Now fast forward to last night when I found a big lump on the side of Smokey?s face. He seems fine with no discomfort but he did not like me touching it.
After an expensive vet visit it turned out the he has a bite wound to the face that got infected. This little sh@t has half his face shaved and two holes in his neck from the procedure yet his still trying to pleasure himself rubbing that side against the furniture.
The thought of loosing him at this time is something I did not want to deal with. Smokey has been my best companion and keeping going after my recent divorce and now dealing with unemployment also.
Thank god for the vets who help heal our little friends that bring so much joy in our lives.

Nice to see hes cool. We have decided to keep our cat indoors and take her out to walk with a harness once or twice a day. There's too many cats roaming the day and nights here and Opposums, I've heard quite a few cat fights going on in the middle of the night the past few years.

pic of cat first time we took her outside no leash yet

looks similar to how our cat looked when we picked her up from the shelter at 1 year 8 months.

amazing what starvation can do to body size.

she's fat and happy now, as cats should be :)

My sister got her at 5 weeks old I believe, or almost right at 6.

I think my sister took these the first day or second day we had her. She threw up that day the first time we gave her canned cat food, probably from the stomach being used to only milk then moving onto solid food.

I pretty much watched and fed her the first 2 weeks since the semester hadn't started for me yet and no one was home till after ~12-1 pm

This is the cat we were supposed to get a few months back but our friend kept them outside in a big cage that was also open so the mom could get in and out, but the kittens got around to climbing at about 4-5 weeks so they all left.

Still looking for pics. He is still a little traumatized from the vet visit to stay still for a current pic. Also he acting a little pissy with me for bothering him so much to clean his puncture wounds from the procedure.

When cats rub like that the are marking territory to show they are not aggressive...it's a calming scent they are leaving.

We had that happen with one of our cats, he actually had a little piece of rubber surgical tubing running through the wound for a couple of days. Once that was removed we had put some type of ointment in those holes for a week.

Yea he has something that looks like red giftwrap ribbon in his punture wounds that needs to be removed on Saturday.
