My cat brought in a baby mouse and it's still alive, but obviously hurt.

It looks like it might have a broken leg, so I can't imagine it will survive.

I don't know if I should just leave it outside, or kill it so it doesn't suffer.

I've never been in this situation and the idea of killing it seems horrible, even if it's out of compassion and I don't even know how to do it...

All your sensitivities aside, it's a freakin' puny rodent. Cover it with a newspaper then step on it - quick and painless.

How you take care of the injured rodent does not change the billions of rodents that die every day.

Take it to the humane society. Maybe they can save it and someone can adopt it and give it a loving home.

Your cat loves you enough that it is willing to share food with you.
The ultimate cat complement.

If you raise hell or kill it it will bring the next one to you dead.

The one after that will only be a head - a trophy.

Smear it with butter, sprinkle some oregano over it, then wrap it in aluminum foil and bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.

You lose all the juice that way, try broiling for 6-7 minutes. I top mine with a light, white peppercorn sauce.

Lucky bastard, he left you the kill, nothing better than feeling the neck snap under your boot heel.

I was thinking wrap it in a bag first to minimize mess, but I 'spose a newspaper would do.
