My case of ROAD RAGE for today!

Ok this tops my day off totally. I'm driving my girlfriend to an appointment as we are driving, this white car is on the side of me, I pass him by. I see him change into my lane behind me, so I then turn into the left hand lane in which he was previously in. I am driving down the hill and for some reason I look back and I see his face. It was like he wanted to kill me for some strange reason! I came to a abrupt stop because of a traffic light, he then yells out his car window "WHAT!" I then yell back "WHAT???" as if I did something wrong. He then steps out of his car and proceeds with his yelling. "WHAT THE F IS YOUR PROBLEM?" He was yelling at me like I was the one who started this whole ROAD RAGE. My g/f can vouch for me that I did not start it, nor did I do anything to make this guy pissed at me. He then continues to rag on me with my girlfriend in the car, yelling obscene things, and telling me to get out of my car so we can proceed to fight. I remember I have a little pole in the back of my car for protection, if you know what I mean. I then decided to try and grab it just in case he tried to rush me in my own car. I held it and he he yelled "BRING OUT YOUR BAT, BRING IT OUT!" Then I was like OH NO, this guy knows some martial arts guarantee, so I was like hmm scratch that plan. So I just stayed in my car telling him to F off, and the light turns green and I then say "YOU LOOK SO STUPID BYE!" And drove off.

Time passes, a minute later. A friend calls up my phone "Hey what was that guy doing at your car? My reply as "he was trying to pick a fight." He said yeah I know I thought so, I seen him get out of his car and start yelling.

Anyways, this was in front of my girlfriend. I'm 19 years old, and he was about 38-40 something years old. Also he told me "GET OUT OF YOUR CAR YOU'RE BIGGER THEN ME, C'MON!" I'm 5'4" and he is like about 6' something, a good 200 lbs of muscle. I'm no way near that height. Just my crazy day of a case of road rage.

Then to top it ALL off, I get to the appointment and I bang the side of my car trying to fit into a small parking space (my car is compact). Totally sucks.

I come to the conclusion as, how do you NOT be afraid of anyone? I want to NOT be afraid of ANYONE, or ANY HUMAN BEING rather. I can't stand what just went on today. I know I did the right thing by driving off and not trying to fight him, but I wan't to stick up for myself instead of looking like a little biatch in front of my girlfriend. I'm not saying I wanna fight everyone, but I just want to learn how to not fear EVERYONE. It's like I fear anybody who is bigger than me. What can I do to overcome this fear? I know now that I am going to be training Jiu Jitsu with my father. Not because of this incident, but because I would like to overcome my fear of being scared of everyone, and also to get into shape. Thanks for listening to my case of ROAD RAGE for today. I'll be back soon.

And you know what? He was wearing scrubs. He looked like a male nurse or maybe a helper or something. How pitiful would that have been? If he hit me and I pressed charges and come to find out hes a doctor? ROFL that would've been so sad for that guy.

HYD, meet Mr. Glock. Best protection, along with a concealed carry permit, against road rage!

"I wan't to stick up for myself instead of looking like a little biatch in front of my girlfriend."

Who cares? If I were your girlfriend (bear with me here :) ) I think I would respect your level head more than your propensity to fight with that guy like two primates.

get a concealed weapons permit, if it happens again, pull out yer 45 and blow em away while doin some sweet ji jitsu moves. haha, j/k

you need self confidense to overcome a fear, stand up to and and dont let it scare you, the learning ji jitsu could give you very good confidence...

You should have had a camera and filmed him and his license plate and pressed charges.

I kinda was thinking what Killbat was thinking. I mean I know how you feel, but why do you have to prove something in fighting

This was NOT a self defense situation. It was an attempted pissing contest started by the other guy, and you shouldn't have even acknowledged him, much less started grabing weapons.

People, fighting is never justified by something like this. If you have the means to walk away, do it. Fighting is only justified to protect your (or someone else's) body, not your ego.

YES, the other guy was wrong. But YOU did the right thing by leaving instead of giving him what he wanted.

One day this guy will hopefully do this to an off duty cop. I'd pay to see that :D

Pepper Spray is a good "field leveler" so to speak. A good shot of 15% Pepper spray to his face would have stopped him cold. He most likely would've continued screaming though.

spray paint that pole/bat black and it'll look shotgun-like enough to take care of business

Either that, or they'll cap your ass before you can get out another word.
