My car was vandalized last nite

Sometime between 9PM when I got home from church and 7AM when I went to go to school my car had a rock thrown through the window. They didn't take anything, but there is glass everywhere. The police won't do sh!t about it, only make a report; which I can't blame them, they have way more important crap to do. I have liability only coverage because my car isn't worth full coverage, so the insurance won't cover it. I don't have the money to replace the window, I'm still trying to pay off the last repair. I hate it when sh!t like this happens. Here's some pics:

The glass went all the way up to the front seat and onto the dash.

Grrrr... i hate that... damn people. SOmething happened like that to me, cept it was the back window to m truck. Dirty bastards... If you ever catch them... I will help you vent your anger...

Clear out the glass on the window and take out the rest of the glass.
Buy some "Plexi-glass" from home depot and cut it to shape and stick it in there.. should do fine until you have enough to get a new window.

Are you a minority of any sort? Black, asian, arab? You can claim you're a victim of a hate crime, since apparently only "bad" things happen to minorities.

My alternator went bad on the way to work one day, and it stalled 3 blocks from work. I managed to push it UP HILL about 20 feet and onto a side street that wasn't really busy. Parked it, locked everything up, and walked to work. I figured I would just get a ride home from someone, then I would buy an alternator and change it the next day on-site - 15 minutes.

When I went to get a few things out of my car after work, they had already slashed a tire, smashed out the two driver side windows and knocked my side mirror off. Nothing taken, just some "nice" neighborhood kids having a little "innocent" fun, apparently because government hasn't been providing them with enough things to do like midnight basketball or something,

Nope, I'm your average white middle class American for the most part. Live in a pretty good neighborhood too. I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but that whole "government providing them with fun" is BS to the "Nth" degree.

ha, yeah that sucks, sorry.

I usually park my car in front of our house which is in the historic district of our city, not much trafic, though its not the kinda road you can play ball in. Last year before i got my car and it was my parents it was parked in the street and someone in a 1980's oldsmobile, comes along and swipes the side of my car, cracks the mirror. My parents were sitting on the porch but were too slow to get the tag number.

About 2 weeks ago my car was again parked on the street, i come out in the morning for school, look at my mirror, its even more smashed, and bent. the front wheel well was indented so the b@stards not only hit my mirror but also the car itself. WTF were those biatches smoking? an 8 year old could drive better than that. anyways, sorry about your window but at least its not body damage

Are you sure that the rock wasn't overclocked? I've heard of that happening some times. Er, sorry, maybe you'll laugh. I would sit around and watch out the window. If it was kids, they may bring a friend over to show off the damage. Then you take your paintball gun, and start nailing them. When they drop to the ground, run out and call the cops...

That happend to my dad's car while he was working at the local pool (he runs the pool, he's the president of it.) Anyways, he heard glass break and he ran out to the street, he saw a group of 4 teenagers walking away laughing, he ran after them and caught two of them and said he'd break their arms if they tried to squirm loose. He started shouting and people who lived around the pool came out of their houses. I believe a few of them called the police while two other neighbors brought the kids to the ground and basically sat on them. My dad did break one of the kids arm though, the stupid moron deserved it. He should have broken both of the arms. The two kids that were caught ratted on their other two friends and they all ended up having to pay back for a new window and had to have like 200 hours of community service. They were also expelled from their schools, seeing how it was a school day.
